Often people feel overwhelmed in their personal lives and don't know where to begin first to feel better and sort things out. They may struggle to maintain a healthy routine of exercise and good nutrition - or find themselves in a marriage or romantic relationship that is unsatisfying or emotionally draining - or feel isolated and disconnected in their social life - or find that they're constantly behind financially and exhausted from the challenges of making ends meet.

They may become anxious or depressed - and lose energy and momentum in accomplishing the things they set out to do.

I help people get to the bottom of what they really want most in their lives, now and in the future, and support them in creating a strategy that helps them reach these goals.  We start with what's most important first and work our way gradually, practically, from one thing to the next until the client feels balanced and "on track" in their life.

What is unique and special about working with Melanie is that she encourages both healing and a new way of being as a result of that healing. She supports me in manifesting this new way of being in my everyday life by setting specific goals, making decisions toward achieving these goals, and reviewing the results with me.

Melanie helped me clarify what I want to do professionally and what I want to eliminate from my life (such as too much debt!) as well as take steps toward accomplishing these changes. We worked together to identify my personal goals, including having great relationships with a partner and with my sons - and I feel very grateful now to have achieved these goals. Life feels much less overwhelming and much more fulfilling than it was just a few months ago.

Ruth Cohen, Lawyer, Mediator, and Artist

Here's a true story about how one client completely changed her life in less than a year.

WOMAN REBALANCES HER FINANCES, CHANGES THE STRUCTURE AND SATISFACTION OF HER WORK, AND FINDS TRUE LOVE - ALL BETWEEN OCTOBER OF 2003 AND THE SUMMER OF 2004!

In late 2003 Ruth was a single lawyer and artist struggling to manage multiple businesses and properties, too much debt, and long-distance family relationships. She did not feel fulfilled by the legal and mediation work she was doing - and wanted support in taking her art work to the next level. She also very much wanted a happy romantic relationship that would be stable, fun, and full of growth.

"It all seems overwhelming and exhausting." She said. "I'm not sure what is most important - or what to address first - or how to address it. It's hard to get it all prioritized and in perspective."

In coaching Ruth laid out her goals for the changes she was seeking in both her personal and professional life. We created action steps for her to reach each of these goals and she began taking these steps. We worked together to identify any conditions that might be standing in the way of the reality she desired, particularly limiting beliefs about money and success. She completed a "Relationship Vision" worksheet, discovered the areas in which she did not feel quite ready to be in a romantic relationship, and began to address these.

By the summer of 2004 Ruth's life was dramatically different. She had restructured her legal practice, sold her old office, and moved to a new one. She had clarified her new direction in her legal/mediation business and begun doing more of the type of work she enjoys and desires. She had found a financial planner to help her create a new direction for her investments and savings, restructured her debt, and lowered her overhead. She had also worked with support people in other fields to help achieve the goals she had listed in coaching. For example, as an artist, she had located and begun to work with new mentors, completed several shows, and sold a number of works.

During this time period Ruth had also spent quality time with her parents and brother, and renewed her communication with her grown sons. Perhaps most dramatically, she had become involved in a wonderful romantic relationship and joined households with her partner.

Ruth said "A year ago I never would have believed it was possible to make so many dramatic changes in my life in such a short time. I feel happy, grateful, and relieved."

If you had an opportunity to find support for the changes you would like to make in your personal life with no financial risk whatsoever why wouldn't you take it? I offer a full refund on my services if you are not satisfied at any time in the future for any reason.

Coaching can help you get where you want to go faster and more easily:

Coaching with Melanie changed my life by bringing me new awareness of what it means to take good care of myself. I realized that self-care is really about self-love, developing good boundaries, and having self-confidence. The self-care alternatives she shared were also valuable, as were the tangible resources and references she provided.
